A New Adult Romance Story

***This new series follows the original series, Fifty Recipes For Disaster***

***Due to sexually graphic content and language that some may find offensive, this book is intended for mature readers only***

Jenny has hit a slump. After losing her child and being in an abusive relationship, she finds herself in a rut. Day in and day out, she does the same thing, slowly losing herself.

A random encounter with an old high school friend changes Jenny’s course. Before she can overthink it, she is jet setting off to Hollywood to restart her life. Determined to turn a new leaf, she moves in with Kathy, her high school friend, and decides to get into acting.

But things quickly grow complicated. Torn between her feelings for her agent, Jon, and Rich, a charming bad boy who has ties in the movie industry, Jenny works through her past demons to try to get a grip on her present.

As Jenny struggles to learn the lesson that in Hollywood not everyone is what they appear to be, she tries to become a person that she can be proud of. Will she be able to find love and success in Hollywood? Or will Jenny be dragged down by her past forever?

Sometimes, the words "Book 1" or "book 2" in the title indicates that the book is part of a series in the different characters will be explored down the line. That is not the case with this book. Not only is it a cliffhanger but it dumps you right after dropping a bombshell. Some of you love this but I hate it and I refuse to buy a sequel or a continuation of something. I am glad that this was a free book I would really resent it if I'd paid for it

This is a great read, well worth the time to read
Another great new series! While this took a bit longer to develop, I was glad to read that it took place in my home state of CA. The modeling/Hollywood life is big business here. The story is of Jenny who decides to move to CA. with a friend and pursue modeling. She is very naive.... Can't wait to see how this progresses in the future installments! Great read!
I was lucky enough to be given an ARC version of this book to read, I got it in the morning and finished it later that day. I seriously can't wait to read the next one in the series and I can't wait to see what happens between Jenny and Jon but even more, I want to see Rich get his comeuppance! Lol I enjoyed it so much I bought a proper copy of the book to add to my library
I am an avid reader and just enjoy reading...most anything, but this book....I tried but I just couldn't finish this book. It was just elementary and difficult to continue to read.
She was traumatised. He had pushed her downstairs aborting their daughter.
A fresh start with a roommate in Hollywood seemed hopeful. Her agent immediately attracted her attention, but so did her casting agent. Sex first-talk later. Then the brutal shock - "Sleep with me for a part."
I downloaded this while it was free in the store. The book isn't bad, but it feels like it is missing something. It talks repeatedly about this bad event involving someone named Robbs, but it's so vague about it that you can't tell what is going on. The whole book is a bit like that. Vague, with short, choppy sentences that don't really satisfy you fully.

I suspect it is like this because the book is obviously meant to be a part of a series. The problem is that unlike many other series where you can get a good feel for the story in the first book, with this one you really HAVE to read the others. I know this is done on purpose, but it didn't really keep me interested enough to buy the others. But it's still annoying because the book practically ends in the middle of a sentence. It's meant to be a cliffhanger to keep you reading, but it just drops of in the middle of a conversation with nothing really resolved.

An author who wants to learn how to really end on a cliffhanger should read the Fever Series by Karen Moning, but I digress. In short, the book isn't bad. It just feels unfinished.
This book left me wanting for more! I am glad there are more books in the series, but I think this could've easily been longer.

Plotwise, I felt it started a little slow/confusing but it kept my attention & went fast. Characters could've been better developed, plot developed more...
